CoPet is your virtual AI pet app, developed by Traxrift Pty Ltd. Protecting your privacy is a cornerstone of our service. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, secure, and share your information when you use CoPet.

1. Information We Collect

Account information: your name, email address, and password (stored encrypted). If you join through a referral, we also record the referral code used.

Conversations and memories: your chats with your AI pet, and the memories it keeps in order to personalise its responses to you.

Pet and game data: your pet's species, name, care state, coins, items, and adoption history, so your pet and progress follow your account.

Purchase records: purchases are processed by the Apple App Store, Google Play, or (on our website) Stripe. We receive purchase records to credit your account — we never see or store your full card details.

Device and log data: IP address, device type, operating system, and app version, used for security and troubleshooting.

Location (optional): if you grant location permission, we use your approximate location to provide local context such as the weather. You can decline or revoke this permission at any time in your device settings.

Notification tokens: if you enable push notifications, we store the device token needed to deliver them.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide and personalise CoPet, generate your AI pet's responses, process your purchases, send service emails (such as verification codes) and notifications you have enabled, improve the app, and keep the service secure.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Third-Party Services

We share data only with the service providers needed to run CoPet, and only what each needs:

  • AI providers (such as OpenAI) — your conversations are sent to generate your AI pet's responses;
  • RevenueCat — validates in-app purchases and subscriptions;
  • Stripe — processes payments made on our website;
  • Google Firebase — delivers push notifications;
  • Amazon Web Services — hosts our servers and sends our emails;
  • Google Analytics — anonymous usage statistics on our website only, not in the app.

AI processing may occur on servers located in the United States. All data is transferred over encrypted connections.

4. Use of Data for AI Training

To enhance the functionality and responsiveness of CoPet, we may use anonymised data from user interactions for AI training purposes. This data is stripped of any personal identifiers before being used to improve our algorithms, ensuring that your privacy is maintained.

5. Data Security

At Traxrift Pty Ltd, we are committed to safeguarding your personal data. All information collected through CoPet is stored on secure cloud infrastructure and protected in transit by encryption. We employ robust security measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

6. Account Deletion & Data Retention

You may delete your CoPet account at any time through the app, or via our website at getcopet.com/deleteAccount. Following account deletion, all personal data associated with your account will be permanently removed from our servers, except where we are legally obliged to retain certain information.

7. Resetting Your Pet

If you reset your AI pet, we remove the personalised memories and settings associated with it, in accordance with the privacy laws of your country.

8. Children's Privacy

CoPet is not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete that information from our servers.

9. Your Rights

You may access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time. We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). 10. Changes to Our Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when the revised policy is published, with an updated version number and effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
